The favorite reunion hotel in Houston has become the DoubleTree Hotel at the Intercontinental Airport.  This hotel has many amemities that make it the perfect place for us to gather for 3-4 days to enjoy being together again!  One of the draws is that it is only 3-4 minutes from the main Houston airport,  Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston~IAH (there are two airports in Houston, Houston Intercontinental and Houston Hobby) and offers compimentary suttle service.  The Derricks Bar is a nice sports bar at the hotel that is large enough to accomodate the crowd we usually bring into it!  And a very large factor for using the DoubleTree time after time is that they have a really wonderful and large pool/courtyard area that is perfect for our gatherings....most importantly they DO allow us to bring food and coolers with beverages (alcoholic and non) out by the pool! (NO GLASS!)

   The hotel does have a restaraunt, serves dinner in the bar and offers room service.  There are also several fast food and full service restaraunts within walking distance from the DoubleTree.  A convinience store and a liquor store are also within short walking distance!

*****BRING YOUR OWN COOLERS TO USE OUTSIDE BY THE POOL!  IF YOU ARE LOCAL TO THE HOUSTON AREA OR DRIVING IN TO THE REUNION AND HAVE AN EXTRA COOLER YOU CAN BRING TO SHARE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS FLYING IN, PLEASE DO SO!!!*****

 We can't stress enough how important it is to book your reservation as SOON AS POSSIBLE!  We are only able to hold a certain amount of rooms at this rate and the rate will expire sometime at the end of May or first of June (I will have the exact date posted when we get the booking website up!)
